Overall summary:
I begged and pleaded for this series to get better by book two, unfortunately, that didn’t happen. Sarah.. I love you but girl. More than anything, the romance and sexual tension throughout the book are just inconsistent with the flow and stakes of the story. I don’t get why we’re talking about kissing and there are scary monsters in the basement. I want to support these characters but they have literally no motivation and are too old to act oblivious to the world around them.
after finishing this book, i’ve decided to not continuing the series. i might start it back up, but for now.. DNF(Series) – 10/05/24
