Dislikes:

  • what exactly did catwoman see in him. quickly

Rating:

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Overall Summary: It has been entirely too long since I’ve walked out of a theater after seeing a superhero movie and felt satisfied with what I’d seen. Matt Reeves’ imagining of Batman is, to me, the version of Batman that makes the most sense and is one I’m dying to see again. I’ve been anticipating a superhero film that takes itself seriously and welcomes darker tones – it feels as though (Marvel) superhero movies have been preoccupied with trying to appeal to everyone with jokes and lighthearted themes, and it’s a tired ploy. I would see The Batman in theaters again if I could!
